They can be viewed during the day but they <em>really<\/em> come out once the sun goes down.\u00a0 I stayed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairmont.com\/jasper\/HotelPackages\/SpecialOffer\/Wintersale.htm?cm_mmc=icppc-_-Branded-JPL%20-%20Jasper%20Park%20Lodge%20-%20Canada-_-google-_-fairmont+jasper\">Fairmont Jasper<\/a> in Banff National Park and sure enough they came walking down the road, snacking on grass right in front of my room! I couldn\u2019t believe it. (Fairmont didn\u2019t pay me to write this \u2013 I paid full freight)<\/p>\n<p>There is a fantastic lake at the hotel and it&#8217;s a nice walk around.\u00a0 The lake is also a water source for the area so there&#8217;s no swimming allowed, but you can kayak and canoe, which is also nice.\u00a0 There are great walks all around this area.
